Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places
Rules added
- Lead of 1.8 metres or less in listed cemeteries and promenades, including Larne and Carrickfergus promenades, Carnfunnock Country Park and People's Park, Ballymena.
- Carnlough, Ballygally and Browns Bay beaches: dogs on a lead 11am to 6pm, 1 June to 31 August.
- No dogs in play parks, parts of People's Park, or Carnfunnock's maze, walled garden, fun zone and golf course.
- £120 fixed penalty.
Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
